CHROMASCAPE 007

SUNSET ON BARKER RESERVOIR

This Chromascape was made in the little mountain town I’ve called home for the last eighteen years. I traded NYC for the Rocky Mountains and a slower pace of life to raise my three kids. Barker Reservoir sits in the center of our town at 8,200’ and provides drinking water for the City Boulder some 3,000’ below Ned. This photo was taken from the trail on the north side of the reservoir looking towards Big Springs at sunset. My process of capturing the image disappears the many homes into the green forest, smooths out the rise and fall of the mountains, blends the light reflecting off the water, while the shoreline gives structure, and the sunset colors are stretched to fill my frame. This is Chromascape 007.  ~ Marc
