CHROMASCAPE 028
FALL COLORS ON A WINDY DAY
This image is an effort to capture the range of colors during the changing seasons here in the Rocky Mountains. In late September, Colorado’s famous aspen trees change from rich deep greens to bright yellow and orange hues. This rarely happens all at once. So on a single hillside, it’s common to see groves of aspens at different stages of their fall transition. This photograph captures this natural dynamic of changing colors. And because it was a sunny and windy day, the branches of the still green aspen trees (close to my camera) were moving during the long exposure causing the leaves reflecting the sunlight to create beautiful wavy patterns in the otherwise linear Chromascape structure. This is Chromascape 028. ~ Marc
