This photograph was made at Slone’s Lake in Denver, CO on a September evening after a powerful thunderstorm rolled through the Mile High City. I set up on the northeast side of the lake looking west toward the Divide hoping to capture a brilliant-colored sunset as the storm clouds dissipated. But the clouds remained, and the day ended with thick grey skies. I was about to pack it in as darkness descended on the lake, when suddenly the sky opened to the west and the sky glowed. Chromascape 029 captures the lights of evening traffic rushing past the many businesses along Sheridan Blvd set against a brilliant blue twilight sky with the Rocky Mountains in shadow and Slone’s Lake reflecting it all.  ~ Marc
