This photograph was created at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Laboratory (designed by I. M. Pei) which is perched high on a hill overlooking Boulder and sits at the base of one of our famous Flatirons. It was a cold winter evening with fresh snow on the ground and the sun was setting quickly behind me. Chromascape 005 captures snow-covered Boulder and the plains stretching to the horizon as the last rays of sunlight illuminate the clouds above the rising blue shadow of the Flatirons. ~ Marc
