Many of my Chromascapes in the Gunnison and Crested Butte area are made while I’m also visiting with my children at Western Colorado University. This image was made at a popular outdoor recreation area called Hartman Rocks that has miles of great trails for biking and hiking and in the winter, cross country skiing. This morning we gathered early to cheer on the Western Mountain Sports Trail Running team as they competed in the annual Sage Burner Trail Race. I dropped my youngest off in the predawn light to warm up with her team and I found an overlook to make an image. This image looks out at the Gunnison valley and captures lights at the event site while the whole scene is bathed in pale blue morning light. This is Chromascape 037.  ~ Marc
