The colors in MOAB Utah are like nowhere else I’ve been. It’s a wonderful place to explore for a few days with a camera. This image was made at sunrise looking east into the rising sun. It rained all night and the cloud layers in the morning were so thick that the sun was barely visible. It’s the thin bright yellow streak on the left side of the image. It’s hard to believe these colors exist in nature, but anyone that has ever watched a sunrise or sunset in the MOAB desert can confirm that this is real. Chromascape 121 is capturing the rising sun as it penetrates and illuminates the morning cloud layers over the rich red earth desert floor. ~ Marc
